InteRDom promotes internship opportunities in the Dominican Republic for 2012

The internship program, InteRDom, an initiative of Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) and Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE), is pleased to announce the opening of internships in the areas of business, human resources, international relations and marketing at recognized Dominican organizations for the summer and fall semesters of 2012.

InteRDom offers students the opportunity to intern for 20-25 hours per week in Dominican organizations. Interns may also choose to enroll in courses at the Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE) and the Global Institute (I-GLOBAL) to obtain academic credits. All students can take part in cultural activities, events and activities offered by FUNGLODE.

The deadline to submit applications for the summer program is February 24, 2012 and for the fall semester is June 29, 2012. For the Caribbean Summer (10 weeks program) we will be receiving applications until March 30, 2012.

Requirements to Apply:

Applicants must possess a minimal GPA of 2.9, have completed 60% of their academic program, and demonstrate basic to intermediate capacities in the Spanish language.

Students that need extra reinforcement in the Spanish language can also choose to take a specialized intermediate course to give an extra boost to their language skills.

InteRDom is the premier internship and academic study program in the Dominican Republic. It offers international students the opportunity to obtain professional experience by interning with Dominican organizations and businesses related to their fields of study, complemented by courses and seminars at local universities.
