Business Students Connect over Dominican Culture at Babson College GDAE Program

In celebration of International Education Week, Babson College Dominican students hosted five college students from the Dominican Republic on their campus as part of the Global Dominican Academic Exchange program, from November 2-8, 2015. The students bonded over cultural similarities while also being immersed in American-style business classes at Babson College. The agenda for the week included campus tours of Babson College and Harvard University, along with tours of historic sites of downtown Boston, museum visits, and basketball games. University of Washington and GDAE Summer Institute in Transnational Law Ends on a High Note

The newest partnership with the Global Dominican Academic Exchange (GDAE) program and the Summer Institute in Transnational Law and Practice at the University of Washington (UW) School of Law came to a successful close this week, where six Dominican law students earned a certificate for the two week-long program, from September 4-18, 2015. The students will return to the Dominican Republic with new understanding of the various methods of legal analysis and argumentation practiced in the United States. Twelve Dominican Students Recognized in GDAE Closing Ceremony

Activities for the Global Dominican Academic Exchange program (GDAE) 2014 drew to a close on Friday evening, November 7, when a special ceremony honored the participants in the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Georgia Transnational Law programs from September and October, 2014. The ceremony, held in the art gallery at Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrolllo, brought all twelve students together to view for the first time the video summaries of their experience and to receive their certificates of participation from the program organizers. Five Dominican Students Successfully Complete Transnational Law Certificate Through GDAE

On October 26, 2014, five Dominican students from the Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo (UASD) completed the Transnational Law Program at the University of Georgia School of Law, earning a certificate for the week-long program and bringing new knowledge and insight to the Dominican Republic on international and transnational policies in the areas of: environmental law, corporate law, criminal law and constitutional law. The historic campus of the University of Pennsylvania (UPenn) served as a beautiful backdrop for the fourth Global Dominican Academic Exchange program, Exploring Our History and Moving Forward, from September 22-27, 2014. The UPenn Dominican student group, Grupo Quisqueyano, served as host to the eight Dominican college students from a variety of universities and study areas, and introduced them to the life of an Ivy League student at the University of Pennsylvania.
