InteRDom to Attend 27th Annual AAPLAC Conference at New Mexico State University

“Study Abroad ... Crossing Borders and Daring to Dream,” is this year’s theme for the Association of Academic Programs in Latin America and the Caribbean (AAPLAC) 27th annual conference, hosted this year at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, New Mexico. InteRDom representatives are excited to participate in the 4-day conference that includes workshops, excursions and social activities from February 17-20, 2016. The conference is an opportunity for participants to share knowledge and ideas, explore new strategies in international exchange and reflect upon their roles as international educators. InteRDom Forms New Relationships with Universities at the Forum on Education Abroad Annual Conference

The 2015 Forum on Education Abroad’s 11th Annual Conference created the perfect networking environment for InteRDom representatives, who joined more than 1,500 international education professionals and educators to discuss topics surrounding this year’s theme, “It Takes a Campus and More: The Faces of Education Abroad.” Program representatives also formed new relationships with university representatives and industry professionals from across the US and abroad. InteRDom to Join Dominican Diaspora Students at the 9th Annual National Dominican Student Conference

For the eighth consecutive year, InteRDom will attend the 9th National Dominican Student Conference, hosted by Grupo Quisqueyano at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, from March 27-29th, 2015. The theme for this year’s conference is: "La Evolución De Nuestra Generación: De Dónde Venimos y Hacia Dónde Nos Dirigimos,” which translates to “The Evolution of Our Generation: Where We Come From and Where We are Heading,” and will focus on how the current Dominican generation is influenced by generations past, and the challenges that face future generations. AAPLAC Conference Concludes With Dinner and Excursion

After 4 days of intensive working sessions, riveting speakers, cultural workshops and excursions and a lot of networking and exchange of ideas, the 26th Annual Conference of the Association of Academic Programs in Latin America and the Caribbean (AAPLAC) drew to a close on Saturday, February 21st with a final cultural excursion to the historic ruins of Boca de Nigua sugar plantation in the southwestern part of the Dominican Republic. The Boca de Nigua trip is the final of the cultural activities included in the program, which began with a guided tour through the Colonial Zone of Santo Domingo. On the evening of February 18, 2015 more than 75 local and international education and exchange professionals gathered in the auditorium of Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (Funglode) in Santo Domingo to officially open the 26th Annual Conference of the Association of Academic Programs in Latin America and the Caribbean (AAPLAC). InteRDom Concludes IEW at 2014 CIEE Annual Conference in Baltimore

For the second consecutive year, InteRDom representatives will attend the 2014 CIEE Annual Conference from November 21-22 in Baltimore, Maryland. The conference is hosted by a leader in the study abroad industry, the Council on International Educational Exchange (CIEE), and this will be the third time InteRDom has participated in this leading conference on international education.
