InteRDom to Participate in Celebration of Latino Culture

On Friday, April 16 InteRDom will participate in the 2nd Annual Latino Block Party, a celebration of Latino culture at Columbia University sponsored by Grupo Quisqueyano, the university’s Dominican student group.

InteRDom to Participate in Celebration of Latino CultureInteRDom will have a booth at the event, where students can pick up information and brochures about the program, as well as speak with representatives about internship options that may be available to them for summer and fall 2010.  Other participating organizations with booths include City College Dominican Studies Institute, Dominican Foundation of CulturArte and various other student organizations.

The event will also feature live music, food, performances by student dance and step groups and activities such as dominoes and a dance competition.

The internship program, InteRDom, an initiative of Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) and Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE), is the premier internship and academic study program in the Dominican Republic. It offers international students the opportunity to obtain professional experience by interning with Dominican organizations and businesses related to their fields of study, complemented by courses and seminars at local universities.
