InteRDom Connects with Students at the University of Pennsylvania International Opportunities Fair

The InteRDom program was a huge hit when it participated for the first time in the 9th annual International Opportunities Fair at the University of Pennsylvania (UPenn) in Philadelphia, on November 7, 2014.

The fair was extremely well attended, attracting the participation of hundreds of students hailing from UPenn and three other top liberal arts colleges in the Philadelphia area: Haverford, Bryn Mawr, and Swarthmore Colleges. Representatives spoke to many students interested in engineering, development and education opportunities, and also connected with a few Dominican diaspora students who are involved in the planning of the next National Dominican Student Conference, which will be hosted at UPenn in March 2015.

InteRDom, an initiative of Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) and Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE), is the premier internship, research and academic study program in the Dominican Republic. It offers international students the opportunity to research important topics at the forefront of the United Nations agenda, obtain professional experience by interning with Dominican organizations and businesses related to their fields of study and/or earn academic credits by taking courses and seminars at a local university.
