InteRDom Announces Spring Trips to Universities

Share on:

The InteRDom team has its most full travel agenda to date this Spring, with campus visits scheduled at eight universities throughout the New York, Boston, Washington D.C. and Pennsylvania areas.  These trips are important to InteRDom as a way to reach out to students and get to know potential applicants personally in order to better cater to their internship needs.

The Spring promotional calendar includes 7 career and internship fairs and 3 information sessions already in the books, and more information sessions on the way.  Career fairs are a good opportunity to collect promotional information and speak with an InteRDom representative about what internship and research opportunities are available to students.  In contrast, information sessions are smaller, more private meetings where students can learn more in-depth about the details and intricacies of the program.

Team members will be accepting resumes and applications at all of the following events in the Spring of 2010:

  • February 5th: Baruch College Internship Fair, 1-4 p.m.
  • February 11th:  George Washington University Opportunity Knocks Fair, 3-6 p.m.
  • February 17th: Fordham University Job and Internship Fair, 1-4 p.m.
  • February 19th: University of Rochester Internship Day, 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
  • February 23rd: Idealist Nonprofit Career Fair at Boston University, 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
  • March 1st: Columbia University Information Session with Grupo Quisqueyano, 8 p.m.
  • March 3rd: Pace University Spring Job & Internship Fair, 2-5 p.m.

The internship program, InteRDom, an initiative of Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) and Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE), is the premier internship and academic study program in the Dominican Republic. It offers international students the opportunity to obtain professional experience by interning with Dominican organizations and businesses related to their fields of study, complemented by courses and seminars at local universities.
