Eleven New Organizations Certify their Internship Programs

Share on:

InteRDom is holding its sixth internship certification program as part of an effort to strengthen its recruitment capacity among Dominican companies. Fourteen representatives from eleven organizations are involved in this 3-day meeting in which participants exchange ideas on best practices in the management and relevant use of interns.

The program is being held at the FUNGLODE office on October 2nd, 3rd and 4th.

This year’s meeting incorporated a new session called “Internships Live,” with participation from companies that have already worked with international interns through InteRDom. They shared their experiences and challenges in creating and developing learning opportunities for more students.

Local universities interested in increasing the rate of placement of their students in companies also took part in the new session. The Iberoamericana University (UNIBE) and APEC University introduced the profiles of their graduates, as well as services they offer in order to encourage their students to incorporate practical experiences into their academic curriculum.

InteRDom is an initiative of the Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE) and its sister organization in the United States, Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD). The program promotes academic exchange between Dominican companies and international universities and contributes to strengthening the insertion of professionals into the Dominican labor sector.
