InteRDom Internships in the Dominican Republic is excited to announce its participation on April 9 – 10 in the 2013 Virtual Career Fair: International Opportunities in the U.S. and Abroad, a career fair hosted by New York University’s Wasserman Center for Career Development and conducted entirely online.

NYU’s cutting-edge career and internship fair uses the internet to globalize its efforts to connect employers from all over the world with NYU talent studying abroad across all of NYU’s 14 international campuses. Discussions can range from internships and full-time opportunities that exist both within and outside the United States. Employers can connect one-on-one with a student and chat virtually about his or her career goals and future plans.

Participation in this type of online fair is a milestone for the InteRDom program, and represents an advantage over other more conventional career fair models.  Students who are currently studying abroad tend to be more enthusiastic about having additional international experiences, and are prime candidates for internships in the Dominican Republic.

The internship program, InteRDom, an initiative of Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) and Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE), is the premier internship, research and academic study program in the Dominican Republic. It offers international students the opportunity to research important topics at the forefront of the United Nations agenda, obtain professional experience by interning with Dominican organizations and businesses related to their fields of study and/or earn academic credits by taking courses and seminars at a local university.
