InteRDom Internships in the Dominican Republic is excited to be participating for the second consecutive year in the sixth annual Work Abroad Fair during the fall 2013 semester at Baruch College in New York City on October 3, 2013. The fair is hosted by the Baruch College Weissman Center for International Business and is located at The William and Anita Newman Vertical Campus on the 14thFloor.

The InteRDom program has a long-standing and strong relationship with Baruch College, both in hosting interns at their New York headquarters and placing students in internships in the Dominican Republic. This fair is a unique opportunity for the program representatives to meet students who are interested in careers overseas, and in years past has helped the program to recruit excellent talent for programs and opportunities in the Dominican Republic. InteRDom will also have summer 2013 alumna and current Baruch student, Gretcher Hernandez, in attendance at the fair to act as an ambassador for the program and answer students’ questions about her experience. Read more about Gretcher’s internship this summer on our website, here.

Students attending the fair will hail from Baruch’s three schools: the Zicklin School of Business, Weissman School of Arts and Sciences and the School of Public Affairs. Other organizations represented at the fair will include: AIESEC Baruch, CDS International, Charles Rangel Program, French-American Chamber of Commerce, and Interexchange. Students of all majors and study areas are encouraged to attend.

InteRDom, an initiative of Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) and Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE), is the premier internship, research and academic study program in the Dominican Republic. It offers international students the opportunity to research important topics at the forefront of the United Nations agenda, obtain professional experience by interning with Dominican organizations and businesses related to their fields of study and/or earn academic credits by taking courses and seminars at a local university.
