InteRDom to Attend University of Pennsylvania International Opportunities Fair

Share on:

For the first time, InteRDom will be participating in the 9th annual International Opportunities Fair and the Virtual International Opportunities Fair at the University of Pennsylvania (UPenn) in Philadelphia, on November 7, 2014.

Along with students from UPenn, the fair is open to students from three top liberal arts colleges in the Philadelphia area: Haverford, Bryn Mawr, and Swarthmore Colleges. InteRDom will be one of more than 30+ organizations represented at the fair, with roughly 600 students and alumni expected to be in attendance. Representatives are looking forward to deepening relationships at UPenn, expanding the program’s reach to multiple schools in the Pennsylvania area and making connections with students to discuss how an internship in the Dominican Republic would present a great international opportunity and professional experience for them.

InteRDom will also be participating in the University of Pennyslvania’s Virtual International Opportunities Fair, a free online career fair sponsored by Penn Career Services that will take place over five weeks, from November 12 – December 9, 2014. As a participant, InteRDom will collect resumes electronically from students and alumni from the University of Pennsylvania’s four undergraduate schools – the Wharton Business School, the College of Arts and Sciences, the School of Engineering and Applied Science, and the School of Nursing — and non-MBA graduate students and postdoctoral researchers.

InteRDom, an initiative of Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) and Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE), is the premier internship, research and academic study program in the Dominican Republic. It offers international students the opportunity to research important topics at the forefront of the United Nations agenda, obtain professional experience by interning with Dominican organizations and businesses related to their fields of study and/or earn academic credits by taking courses and seminars at a local university.
