Instructional Designer
The Instructional Designer will assist in the
production of online courses and activities.
He/she will work with staff, tutors and technicians
and will be expected to interact with fellow
team members in order to assist in the designing
of effective instructional materials which are
functional, pedagogically approved and intuitive.
Each intern should identify potential instructional
technology tools. He/she should have a strong
knowledge of current instructional theories
that are applicable to web-based instructions.

Web
Design
The web designer will maintain and update the
Univirtual Global Dominicana website and its
various sections.
The Univirtual Global Dominicana website has
three main sections: administration, used mainly
by technicians; registration and admissions,
for the administrative personnel; and the e-learning
environment for students, tutors, professors
and technicians.

Intern Profile
— In-depth knowledge of most web mark-up
or scripting languages such as HTML, XHTML,
JavaScript, CSS, and VBScript for ASP.
— In-depth experience of PHP language,
MySQL database, and Microsoft SQL.
— Background in Windows 2003, XP and Linux.
— Experience with imaging and publishing
applications such as Flash, Adobe Photoshop,
Corel Draw, streaming audio and video, and Microsoft
PowerPoint.
Software
engineer
The software engineer will help to improve the
University e-learning platform. He/She will
participate in all stages of the development
design and will also fix bugs within the system.
