InteRDom Will Organize
Presentation at Fordham University
in Collaboration with the Department
of Career Services to Foster
Increased Cooperation New York, January 28, 2009
InteRDom will hold an information
session for students at Fordham
University in Bronx, New York on
Thursday, February 5, 2009. The
gathering will be coordinated by the
University’s Department of Career
Services and will take place the
faculty lounge from 1-2 pm.
Through this event, InteRDom seeks
to promote collaboration with
students interested in furthering
their understanding of development,
and in particular, present
internships available for students
interested in obtaining experience
related to the management of
information, either with a
non-profit institution or media
affiliate in the Dominican Republic.
The Program is also very interested
in fostering increased cooperation
with the University’s Department of
Career Services and hopes that such
events will aid in doing so.
During the information session,
Fordham students will meet with
InteRDom representatives, see a
brief presentation and video about
the program, and have the
opportunity to inquire about the
internship offerings available for
the 2009 Summer Semester. Interested
students will be able to submit
resumes and fill-out application
forms for the Program during the
session, as well as discuss ideas
for research projects with InteRDom
team members.
To make a personal appointment with
a member of the InteRDom team in

InteRDom, an initiative of Global
Foundation for Democracy and
Development (GFDD)
and Fundación Global Democracia y
Desarrollo (FUNGLODE),
offers students the opportunity to
gain professional experience by
interning with Dominican
organizations and businesses related
to their field of study.
The Program fosters and promotes
the professional, academic,
scientific, technological and
cultural exchange of students and
professionals in public, private and
non-profit organizations of the
Dominican Republic. It significantly
contributes to the development of
the nation’s employment sector and
the advancement of academic
