Meet Fellows Advisor in the Area of Public Health, Dr. Alberto Fiallo Billini

InteRDom is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Alberto Fiallo Billini as an InteRDom Fellows Advisor in the area of Public Health.

Dr. Fiallo has extensive experience heading governmental, non-governmental and academic entities. He is presently the Advisor on Public Health to President Leonel Fernández and the Director of the Center for Public Health Studies of Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE) and Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD). He is also a part of the Advisory Boards of the following Commissions: the National Health Insurance Plan, the National Program for Essential Medicines, the Teachers Health Insurance Plan, the National Council on Health, and the Presidential Commission on National Pharmaceutical Policy. Dr. Fiallo was also the Director of the National HIV/AIDS Program as well as an integral voice in the national reform of the health sector.

We are very pleased to be working with Dr. Fiallo. His intense knowledge of the field and enthusiasm for all topics related to the health sector make Dr. Fiallo an ideal advisor to work with our Fellows. Dr. Fiallo is now working closely with InteRDom Fellow Yosmayra Reyes, who is carrying-out research on Mental Health Services.
