Greater economic opening following the implementation of the Dominican Republic – Central America Free Trade in 2007 has led to elevated exposure of Dominican goods and services and consumer demand, and in turn increased demand for professionals with specialties in marketing in the Dominican Republic. With substantial growth in tourism, manufacturing, telecommunications and agribusiness, there is a strong need for marketing professionals in these fields.

Moreover, in today’s global market, there is an increasing need for local companies to develop international marketing strategies and for international companies to develop local marketing strategies. Many companies implement either local or international marketing plans, but not both. InteRDom designs internship projects that help companies to establish and advance national and international agendas.

The Program works with some of the country’s top marketing firms, as well as with companies and organizations with marketing needs from all sectors. InteRDom offers a wide array of internship opportunities for marketing students related to: corporate image, innovation, publicity, competitiveness, strategy design and implementation.
