The latest advancements in engineering in the country have taken place during the last 60 years, and include important gains regarding improvements in the construction of aqueducts, hotels and resorts, chemical product factories, electrical lines, bridges and commercial plazas; technological improvements in nutritional product manufacturing; and advancements in telecommunications infrastructure, ethanol production and wind energy. The Government of the Dominican Republic has recently announced that it will be constructing 3 wind parks, making it the third country in Latin America and the seventh in the world to implement a clean energy initiative of this kind.
InteRDom has partnerships with major national and international players in the fields of industrial engineering, construction, sugar manufacturing, food and beverage manufacturing, hydraulic engineering, water treatment and telecommunications.
The Program offers a wide range of internship opportunities to engineering students in the areas of: industrial design, supply chain engineering, agricultural engineering, ergonomics, construction, mathematics and chemical sciences, hydraulic energy, water purification and wastewater management, industrial waste management, planning, telematics, telecommunications and systems and software telecommunications.
