Journalism is an essential component of contemporary life, an inseparable element of democratic systems, and a fundamental pillar of development.
In the Dominican Republic, interns can acquire professional experience in all aspects of communications and journalism. Over 1,000 different newspaper publications are published and dozens of television stations and hundreds of radio stations transmitted.
InteRDom provides the possibility to get involved in different areas of communications via internships with its affiliate organizations, in the areas of written press, radio and television.
Additionally, each summer, InteRDom offers the opportunity to become part of its multimedia team. As part of the multimedia team, students compile articles and press releases, coordinate website development, edit videos, develop communications and marketing strategies, and establish relations with local and international media representatives. Working with the team provides an excellent chance to get to know representatives employed in the following areas:
Press
Radio
Television
Research
Public Relations
